Do you usually use the dishwasher but sometimes the dishes don't get as clean as you'd like? Do you notice that there are pieces of dishes that still have some grease on them?

Find out how you can avoid these problems and keep your dishes clean and shiny in a sustainable way.

How to wash dishes sustainably in the dishwasher?

There are several options with which you can take care of your dishes, but not all of them are environmentally friendly. Did you know that you can now wash your dishes in the dishwasher with a 100% ecological detergent?

Eco-friendly dishwasher detergent

So that you can take care of your kitchen and, in this specific case, your dishes in a sustainable way, EcoX has a solution: a product that is not tested on animals and made with at least 95% products of natural origin.

Our ecological powder dishwasher detergent is free from dyes, perfumes and phosphates and is suitable for washing normally soiled dishes (put a tablespoon in the detergent compartment) and for very dirty dishes (put 2 tablespoons of soup in the appropriate compartment).

It is not necessary to use regenerating salt with each wash as this powder detergent contains many sequestrants.

If you are one of those people who like to see their dishes shine, especially glazed dishes, you can use vinegar, which is a more sustainable option and has the same effect as conventional rinse aids.

Each package contains 67 doses and it is important to note that this ecological detergent is not suitable for washing crystal dishes, silver cutlery and hand-painted porcelain.

Additional utensils for washing dishes

For dishes that you don't usually wash in the dishwasher, such as frying pans, platters or very large pots, we also have some useful utensils:

  • Wooden brush: made with sustainable wood and natural bristles and is ideal for washing pans, bottles, plates and glasses;
  • Wooden dish brush: made with natural vegetable fiber bristles, it is recommended for washing dishes, frying pans, pots or dishes;
  • Brush: composed of natural bristles and a cotton tip, it allows effective cleaning of the base of bottles, bottles, cups or jars;
  • Lufa: this sponge of plant origin, in addition to being able to be used as a bath and house cleaning sponge, has the particular advantage of not scratching dishes.

And how to clean the dishwasher?

The dishwasher is the appliance that is used all year round and, in many homes, practically every day.

That's why it's important to take care of it regularly to avoid the accumulation of limescale and grease and residues that cause bad odors. With this care, it is also possible to keep the dishes looking like new: clean and shiny.

We show you some of the steps you can follow to clean your dishwasher:

  1. Remove all the dishes from the machine and then check if there are any small food residues that should also be removed from inside. You can also remove the filter and clean it
  2. Place a container of vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher (instead of vinegar, you can also use baking soda)
  3. Start cleaning with a hot water program
  4. For complete cleaning, you can also wipe the edges and door with a cloth with vinegar.

Loading dishes in the dishwasher is an almost or even daily task for many people. This is a step that can also be taken sustainably every day.
